Explore a Minotaur Brawler control direction based on converting basic attacks to Blunt and building stun. The interaction is documented; a complete allocation and reliable boss-control demonstration are still missing.

October patch check: Unyielding and boss control
The official 0.107.7832 notes, dated October 12, say Unyielding now reduces the monster's actual stun duration, beyond the visible stun stars. A control clip recorded before this correction may show different uptime. This source review does not establish a current stun duration, immunity rule or permanent-stun setup.
Earlier, September 25 changed summoned Big Friend Basher so its stuns feed a boss stun meter instead of immediately stunning bosses. That summon change and the Blunt buildup interaction described below are separate systems; neither supplies a complete Minotaur Brawler allocation.
Compare one named enemy under the same conditions, preserve a defensive action and check whether the target actually stops acting. The patch notes provide the dates; the older build evidence below keeps its original limits.
Setup at a glance
| Configuration | Current evidence |
|---|---|
| Race / class | Minotaur / Brawler |
| Core loop | A keystone converts basic attacks to Blunt; hits fill hidden Stun Build-up and stun triggers when it fills |
| Evidence | Developer mechanics and community examples. A finished Stun build has not been verified. |
Components to account for
| Component | Role | What to check on the character |
|---|---|---|
| Blunt-conversion keystone | Changes the basic-attack damage interaction | Exact node, prerequisites and selected state |
| Basic attacks that connect | Contribute to the intended attack and recovery rhythm | Target contact and safe openings |
| A complementary active action | Adds a useful job to the sequence | Its real damage type, control behaviour and cost |
| Movement or defence | Keeps the character alive while building toward control | Availability after modifier changes |
| Equipment or pet support | Supports the chosen sequence if its conditions are met | Actual effect description and dependencies |
The table is a component checklist, not a finished five-slot recommendation. The current exact path and point total to the conversion need to be read from the relevant tree.
Skills and their jobs
The developer’s effect explanation establishes this chain:
Minotaur Brawler keystone → basic attacks become Blunt → hits accumulate hidden Stun Build-up → a filled bar stuns the enemy. Blunt is described as filling the buildup fastest.
| Mechanic | Supported information | Still missing |
|---|---|---|
| Keystone | Converts basic attacks to Blunt | Accurate name, prerequisite route and point cost |
| Stun Build-up | Hidden accumulation from hits; Blunt fills it fastest | Exact values, thresholds and enemy differences |
| Stun trigger | Enemy is stunned when buildup fills | Reliable uptime and boss-specific behavior |
| Full build | No complete five-slot control preset is established | Attributes, tree, gear, pet and encounter test |
A Steam progression reply also discusses Minotaur Blunt conversion. It supports that interaction, not a finished Stun configuration.
Stun buildup is not an immediate guarantee
An attack contributing to buildup is not the same as an attack guaranteeing a stun on every hit. The described system accumulates toward a threshold. Without a verified target-specific test, do not assume a fixed number of hits or identical behaviour on every boss.
Plan to survive the period before control occurs. A character that needs the next hit to stun in order to avoid damage can be vulnerable when the target does not reach the threshold at that moment.
Use a safe opening for basic attacks, then respond to the enemy's next action. Do not treat the control direction as permission to ignore telegraphs or spend all resources before you know the target is disabled.
Skill tree and progression
Switch stages to see what the route needs to accomplish. The official tree image below is a reference for reading connections, not this build’s allocation.
Evaluate the ordinary Minotaur attack rhythm before committing to a distant conversion node. A later control interaction does not describe the whole levelling experience.
Trace the route to the Blunt conversion and count all prerequisites. Then identify a useful control action without assuming every discussed candidate can be equipped or afforded together.
Test a completed configuration against a named enemy and then a boss under recorded conditions. Until that exists, no permanent-stun promise, universal threshold or exact control uptime is supplied.
Candidate actions and observed choices
Quick Jab and Pulverize appear in Blunt and control-related discussion. Boulder Toss is considered as an option if the character changes toward Blunt. Considering the option does not establish that it was equipped in a completed stun configuration.
Inspect the action's description on your own character and decide which job it serves. A skill can contribute damage, control or positioning, but a familiar name does not prove every modifier or version has the same behaviour.
Pulverize also illustrates a commitment risk: a long action can leave the character taking hits while trying to finish it. Pick an opening suited to the action rather than assuming the build's control theme makes every commitment safe.
Keep the movement tool that the sequence needs
Vortex is valued for movement in the Minotaur material. Changing its form can alter the escape or repositioning available after an attack. Before taking such a modifier, decide whether another action now covers that job.
This matters especially when the stun has not yet triggered. You still need a way to deal with an enemy response. Extra damage is not a complete replacement for the movement that made the preceding attack safe.
The Dimraeth movement guide separates ordinary movement, stamina and committed actions. Those fundamentals remain relevant even when the build aims to control its target.
Keep Bleed and stun configurations separate
The long Minotaur example develops a Bleed direction with changing Vortex, Pulverize and Rage responsibilities. It includes valuable lessons about resources and mobility, but it does not supply a final stun tree merely because the character is a Minotaur Brawler.
Do not combine a Bleed payoff, an imagined Blunt route and equipment from another stage into one supposedly demonstrated setup. Each selected action needs its generator, condition and prerequisites in the actual configuration.
The Dimraeth class guide compares those directions without treating them as interchangeable. Use it to decide which interaction you want before committing further points.
Equipment, pets and replacements
The current evidence does not establish mandatory equipment or a best-in-slot set for a completed Stun build. Gear used by the Bleed character is not automatically Stun-build gear.
The required pet, if any, remains unverified. A future control test must identify pet and teammate support.
Combat sequence
- Use the verified Blunt-conversion configuration.
- Observe the target’s actual control response before extending the sequence.
- Recover resources and preserve a way out between committed attacks.
These steps explain the intended interaction. A frame-accurate or fully reproduced rotation is not established.
Test control against a consistent target
After obtaining the conversion, use a familiar target and confirm the selected node, equipped actions and relevant effects. Observe whether the basic attacks connect and when control occurs. Keep the setup consistent before drawing conclusions about an additional modifier.
Record a failed attempt as well as a successful one. If control arrived too late, inspect the opening and survival plan. If the resource sequence stopped, inspect the generator. If a different enemy behaves differently, do not force the first result into a universal threshold.
The missing full allocation prevents this page from serving as an exact copyable build. The supported interaction still gives you a concrete direction to investigate, with movement and recovery retained while the control plan develops.

Weaknesses and troubleshooting
A current-EA player reports strong boss stun reduction and asks for buildup during an existing stun. This is player feedback, not an official numerical rule or proof that every boss is immune.
| Symptom | First check |
|---|---|
| Basic attacks seem not to apply control | Confirm the Blunt-conversion keystone is actually active |
| A boss resists the expected control loop | Check that boss separately; do not infer permanent stun from ordinary enemies |
| The sequence cannot repeat | Inspect resource costs, movement and the selected active skills |
| The build depends on a specific threshold | Keep it unconfirmed until the current value is recorded |
Build limitations
Blunt conversion supports Stun Build-up, but a full node allocation and reliable boss-control result are not established. Boss resistance reports come from players, not a controlled benchmark. Plan movement and damage for periods when the target can still act.
