For a Minotaur Brawler starter, SwoleBenji’s creator guide uses Strength-only attributes and builds toward Vortex plus Rending Strike for Bleeding. The creator also recommends three Lifebloom pieces for early survival. This is an early-game route, not a complete level-25 allocation or a tested best-build ranking.

Setup at a glance
| Configuration | Starter setup |
|---|---|
| Race / class | Minotaur / Brawler |
| Attributes | All investment into Strength in this creator’s starter; do not generalize it to other archetypes |
| Main skills | Vortex with Repeating Vortex; Rending Strike as another Bleed source |
| Early equipment | Three Lifebloom pieces; reported set bonus: +30 HP |
| Stack result | The creator reports approximately 9 Bleed stacks from the combination; not a universal cap |

Skills and their jobs
| Skill or route target | Role in this starter | Remaining detail |
|---|---|---|
| Minotaur Blood | Early named route target after health nodes | Exact tooltip, connecting nodes and point count |
| Vortex | Damage and Bleed application | Current cost and selected tooltip |
| Repeating Vortex | Vortex modifier in the reported route | Exact prerequisite connections |
| Rending Strike | A second source of Bleeding | Current cost and equipped slot |
| Furious Strike | Next named progression target | Selected modifiers and place in the final bar |
The reported approximately 9 stacks belong to this creator’s Vortex / Rending Strike combination. Do not treat that number as a guaranteed opening, every target’s result, or the game-wide stack limit.
Attributes
The creator reports Strength-only investment for this starter in the creator source. A different spell plan can have different learning requirements; this page does not recommend the same allocation for Fire, Shadow or Stun.
Skill tree and progression
The creator-reported order is listed below; check your current node prerequisites before spending points. “Health”, “attack speed” and “Bleed nodes” are descriptive groups, not verified exact node names. This is a priority sequence, not a point-by-point clickable tree.
- Health nodes
- Minotaur Blood
- Attack speed
- Bleed nodes
- Vortex
- Repeating Vortex
- Rending Strike
- Furious Strike
- Further Bleed nodes
Prioritize health nodes, Minotaur Blood, attack speed and the initial Bleed nodes, then work toward Vortex and Repeating Vortex.
The next named targets are Rending Strike, then Furious Strike and more Bleed nodes. Rending Strike supplies another Bleed application alongside the Vortex setup.
The starter provides a direction for early progression. It does not establish the final level-25 tree or a boss rotation.
Equipment, pets and replacements
The creator recommends three Lifebloom pieces and reports a +30 HP bonus. This is the creator’s early survival recommendation; it is not an established mandatory endgame set.
| Equipment decision | Current answer |
|---|---|
| Early set | Three-piece Lifebloom |
| Reported bonus | +30 HP |
| Exact pieces / slots | Not yet captured |
| When to replace it | No verified item-by-item replacement schedule |
| Later set / pet | Not established for this specific starter |
Do not merge gear from another Minotaur playthrough into this setup without checking that its skills and conditions match.
Combat sequence
- Use Vortex with the reported Repeating Vortex choice to apply Bleeding.
- Add Rending Strike as another Bleed source when it is available.
- Check the target’s stacks while keeping movement and resource recovery available.
This explains how the two named application tools fit together. It does not prescribe exact cooldown timing, a fixed nine-stack opener or a boss rotation. Furious Strike is a progression target, not an automatically established step in every attack sequence.
Demonstration and source moments

Movement, Rage and gear: lessons from a separate playthrough
The following practical observations come from the earlier long Bleed playthrough, already discussed in the original guide. They are retained as a separate example, not combined into SwoleBenji’s starter allocation or its Lifebloom equipment list.
The Minotaur Bleed example develops from a deliberate melee character into a build with more useful movement and effect interactions. It uses the tree to improve what happens against Bleeding targets while changing the jobs assigned to active skills.
Vortex is a major part of the practical story. Its value is not only damage: movement can create an escape or a better position for the next attack. Before selecting a modifier that changes this behaviour, decide whether another action now covers that movement job.
The example considers a more stationary variation, then values retaining movement. That is a useful build decision because it connects the modifier to the encounter. A theoretical damage increase can be a poor trade if it removes the way you leave danger after a committed attack.
Separate Bleed setup from the payoff
Write down which action applies Bleeding and which action benefits from or consumes it. Do not assume that every blood-themed skill performs the same job. If a payoff requires a condition that no remaining action supplies, replacing a slot may break the sequence.
The same check applies to Rage. Identify the generator before choosing a spender. The demonstrated character changes those responsibilities as new options appear; a description from the beginning of the run and a later allocation are not necessarily parts of one simultaneous build.
Pulverize and Vortex therefore need to be assessed in the configuration actually being used. A long attack can expose the character while it resolves, while a movement skill can support both survival and resource generation. Compare those jobs rather than making the larger-looking hit the automatic choice.
Equipment goals and set counts
Gorehorn appears as a collection goal for the Bleed direction. That is useful as an example of planning around a set, but it does not establish a complete best-in-slot list or every current bonus value.
Check the active set count on your own equipment before dismantling a piece. The playthrough initially underestimates the available slots, then discovers additional accessory positions. An early claim that a larger set could not fit should not be treated as a final equipment rule.
Inspect the Codex when you have a set target. The recorded interface is used to connect sets with their source creatures. That is more useful than farming an arbitrary enemy based only on the set's name. The current entry should guide your target; this page does not promise a guaranteed drop rate.
Weaknesses and troubleshooting
A modifier that consumes Bleeding can conflict with a plan that needs those stacks to remain. A movement change can also make a nominal damage improvement less practical.
| Symptom | First check |
|---|---|
| The expected effect does not appear | Confirm the application action and selected modifier |
| The sequence cannot repeat | Check the actual generator, cost and recovery conditions |
| A gear change makes the setup worse | Compare the active set count and conditional effects |
| You cannot safely finish the sequence | Review movement, defensive support and enemy attention |
Build limitations
The starter sequence and Lifebloom bonus are creator-reported. Current node costs, connecting paths, full equipment slots and a level-25 boss setup are not independently verified. The reported Bleed stack count is an example from that setup, not a guaranteed result or universal cap.
