The newest release visible in the official Steam news feed on October 15, 2026 is Hotfix 0.107.7839, dated October 13. It follows the October 12 multiplayer update, 0.107.7832. This page explains their practical effects and the older balance changes that can make build videos misleading. These are developer release notes, not independent combat or compatibility tests.
0.107.7839 — October 13 hotfix
| Changed system | Developer-reported fix | What to check in your game |
|---|---|---|
| Pandemic Cloud | Its zone lasts for the intended duration after the infected target dies | Recheck an interaction that previously ended when its first target died; no new damage or duration number is established |
| Boss attacks | Goblin King's transition no longer produces an unanimated slam; Smashmouth's crater no longer repeats later or after death | Distinguish an old visual bug from the current attack sequence |
| Sanctum and forging | Unlocked areas no longer regain rubble; forge stat names agree with item tooltips | Revisit an obstructed area and compare the same attribute label in both interfaces |
| Repeat encounters | Forest King, Hoard King and Corrupted Beast Returns bounties restore waypoint locking after a relog | Expect the bounty's intended access rules; a previously usable shortcut is not a farming guarantee |
| Corruption Leaking | Timed-out events return; affected worlds are repaired when loaded | Reload an affected world before treating the event as permanently lost |
Use the Forest King guide, Goblin Cave respawn guide and Sanctum expansion guide for the underlying routes. The patch changes particular failures; it does not document a new universal reset timer.
0.107.7832 — October 12 multiplayer client update
The developer changed high-latency combat so dodges shown on the client's screen no longer result in a monster hit simply because the server saw a different timing. When comparing a solo build with co-op footage, record whether you are the host or a client, your installed version and the encounter. Improved synchronization is not evidence that one class received more damage.
Three changes matter when reviewing existing character and equipment guides:
- Unyielding: the reduction now applies to the monster's actual stun, beyond its visible stars. Reassess Minotaur Brawler Stun without relying on old control uptime.
- Spiritbound: the five-piece Ceres Blessing effect gains its missing trigger icon. The notes say the effect already functioned, so this is not a newly added set bonus.
- Flickering Vanish: a rare dash-and-recast sequence no longer strands the character in an empty black world. This is a particular Shadow bug fix, not confirmation that every crash or black screen has one cause.
Aelwynor also regains his intended protection after respawning until his hearts are broken. Complete that encounter mechanic before using damage taken as a build benchmark.
Older balance changes that affect build comparisons
The September 25 release, 0.107.7779, changed actual skill parameters. In contrast, the October 5 release introduced itself as hotfix work with no known balance changes. Keep those scopes separate when assessing a video uploaded around those dates.
| Skill or interaction | September 25 change | Planning consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Vehement Cleave | Full charge reduced from 2.5 to 2 seconds; cooldown from 20 to 15 seconds; stamina from 30 to 25 | An older charge rhythm and cost are historical, not a current allocation target |
| Furious Strike | Removed its 15% maximum-health casting cost | Do not copy an old health-cost warning into a present Brawler plan |
| Gust | Cooldown reduced from 18 to 12 seconds | Compare current recovery and timing rather than copying an old rotation |
| Clone Strike | Archetype proc coefficients changed | Older Shadow-clone damage cannot establish a present best-build ranking |
| Summoned Big Friend Basher | Boss stuns contribute to a stun meter | A summon demonstration does not establish immediate repeated boss stuns |
Search the spell, equipment and material database for named changes by patch. The build comparison keeps incomplete allocations labelled. A patch note can verify a changed interaction without verifying a complete level-25 tree, best-in-slot set or damage benchmark.

Development spell-interface reference: inspect the current tooltip when applying an older guide. This image does not demonstrate the October fixes.
Mods after an update
The official September 23 notes say characters modified beyond game limits are rejected from multiplayer worlds. Later notes also describe removal or correction of impossible gear. Those rules apply independently of whether a third-party page describes its tool as working.
Use the mod catalogue and installation notes to distinguish an author's published version from a tested game version. No mod in that catalogue has been independently tested here on 0.107.7839.
