The documented Lionspear farm targets aether-wolf packs along the Forest King repeat route at bounty level three. Start Return to the Forest Throne when it is available, check the selected difficulty, and use your Lionspear Codex entry to confirm the intended enemy before committing to a long loop. Players have obtained purple Lionspear pieces from this route, but there is no established drop percentage or guaranteed time to finish the set.

Lionspear is associated with Thrust damage and critical hits. The important farming distinctions are the monster pool, the active bounty difficulty, and the checkpoint state. Purple equipment from the same wolf group can belong to another set; seeing purple Gorehorn or Precision Fang does not by itself mean Lionspear is missing from the game.

Check that Lionspear serves your next upgrade

The recorded Lionsurge effect grants increased Thrust Damage for five seconds after a critical hit with Thrust Damage. The equipment data gives the increase as twenty percent. Read your current set tooltip for its activation threshold before planning around the effect; a gear tier and the number of equipped set pieces should not be assumed interchangeable from a shorthand table.

This makes the damage type of your actual attacks relevant. A critical hit with a different damage type is not established as the same trigger. Before farming the final missing piece, inspect the spell or weapon attack you intend to use and confirm that its damage includes Thrust.

A set can still be worth keeping for another character or a later combination, but that is a different goal from improving the build you are using today. Decide whether you need a missing slot, a better roll, or the active set effect. Otherwise, every Lionspear drop can look like progress even when it duplicates a slot that is already solving your current requirement.

Activate the Forest King repeat at the intended difficulty

The recorded farming route uses Return to the Forest Throne at level three. The bounty affects the normal enemies along the associated route as well as the final encounter, which is why a boss repeat can be used to pursue a monster equipment set.

Work through the available repeat levels shown in your interface until the intended level is selectable. Recorded examples progress from the earlier repeat clears into level three. They do not establish that level three is the permanent maximum in every version, and another interface has exposed higher Deed levels. Use the current board instead of assuming the entire difficulty system ends at the level used by one farming example.

If Return to the Forest Throne is unavailable, check your story and Deed progression in that world. The complete unlock sequence belongs in the Deed guide. Do not replace it with a guessed character-level requirement, or assume that visiting a friend's completed world gives your own world the same board state.

Before entering, inspect the encounter name and selected level. A Corrupted Beast repeat and a Forest King repeat can both lead to useful wolf encounters, but the specific Lionspear community route describes the Forest King path. Matching that route is more reliable than choosing whichever forest bounty was already highlighted.

The active quest HUD identifies Return to the Forest Throne at level III.

Identify the wolf group before farming it

The community route describes four aether wolves near the second teleport along the Forest King path. Other recorded material identifies the relevant wolves by their tails and magical projectile attacks. Use those observations to recognize the group, then compare its visible name with the Lionspear Codex entry. A precise map coordinate for this group is not established here.

Different enemies can be present close together. A nearby treant, dryad, ordinary wolf, and aether wolf should not all be treated as one identical loot pool. Check which enemy produced the desired set and keep the intended targets visible during the fight.

Run a short test before committing to the loop

Use the first few encounters to confirm the parts of the farm that are observable:

  1. Start the matching Forest King repeat at the difficulty you intend to farm.
  2. Reach the aether-wolf group described by the route and inspect the enemy names.
  3. Compare those enemies with the Lionspear equipment entry available in your Codex.
  4. Kill the target wolves and read the set affiliation of the drops.
  5. Check how the same group returns before extending the session.
  6. Inspect useful Lionspear pieces by slot, rarity, and current stats rather than keeping every purple item automatically.

If no Lionspear appears immediately, that alone does not invalidate a matching target. The community examples include long stretches without the desired purple set and other players obtaining several pieces from the same spot. There is no supported promise of a Lionspear drop within a specific number of kills.

Check the return route before repeating the farm

Confirm that the same target group returns before extending the session. The Forest King reports identify a useful wolf group, but they do not establish a universal death-reset procedure for Return to the Forest Throne. A recorded deliberate-death loop near the Corrupted Treant belongs to a different encounter and should not be assumed to reset this route.

If the selected pack stops returning after progression, inspect the active bounty and use its normal repeat flow. Do not repeatedly die expecting a completed checkpoint to recreate itself. Check the enemy group again after the repeat starts so that the next attempt still targets Lionspear's listed sources.

Treat augmented targets as opportunities, not guarantees

The recorded farming sessions prefer augmented or elite versions of the relevant wolves because they are reported to produce stronger loot opportunities. One community approach resets when the desired buffed aether wolf is absent and only fights the pack when that target appears.

Augmented targets are an optional priority, without a verified numerical advantage. Regular targets are also described as having a chance to produce useful gear.

Separate the target's enhancement from its species and loot pool. An augmented enemy that does not drop Lionspear is not automatically a better Lionspear target than an ordinary enemy that does. Read the name and Codex entry first, then use its encounter state to decide whether the fight is worth the time.

Judge the farm by whether it keeps producing the intended enemies without excessive recovery time. A reliable kills-per-minute target or full-set completion estimate is not established.

Evaluate each piece against the slot you need

Equipment is divided into several slots, including rings, amulets, charms, badges, bracers, belts, runes, and undercoats. A Lionspear piece for a slot already filled does not automatically replace the missing slot required by your planned set combination.

Check the item's set name separately from its other modifiers. Gear names and stat rolls can differ even within the same set, so two Lionspear pieces can solve different problems. Compare the actual stats and the effect activated by equipping the piece instead of using rarity as the entire evaluation.

Keep a usable lower-rarity piece if it completes the combination you want while you continue farming an improvement. Compare the current stats before assuming a purple drop must replace your existing item.

When a new drop would break another active set effect, compare the complete equipment state before accepting the change. A missing Lionspear piece can be valuable, but its benefit depends on what equipping it adds and what removing the old item takes away. The dedicated equipment guide covers broader set combinations; this check keeps the farming goal tied to the actual upgrade.

Interpret a long dry spell correctly

Use a dry spell to recheck the route's observable conditions: active bounty, selected difficulty, intended wolf group, checkpoint behavior, and actual set names on the drops. If those remain correct, avoid adding unsupported luck rules such as changing characters, switching the lobby privacy setting, or opening every gate to force the set.

The official September 25 update names Mythical as the equipment rarity cap and removes gold equipment. Do not extend the purple farm into a promise of a higher obtainable gold tier based on a generic rarity ladder from another game.

Stop when the next usable piece has solved the equipment goal you came for, or when the loop no longer produces the intended encounter. A complete purple set is one possible longer target; it is not the only useful outcome of a session that upgrades a missing slot or activates the desired Thrust interaction.
